Growth Capital Partners is pleased to announce that it concluded an investment into DMQ Trading (Pty) Ltd (“DMQ”) effective 1 August 2021.

Established in 2008 by Damian Feuilherade and Monique McCusker, DMQ is a supplier of accessories to a number of blue-chip retailers in South Africa, focusing on product innovation, product development, global sourcing, inventory management, quality assurance and logistics.

Growth Capital Partners provided the capital for the founding shareholders to de-risk and realise full value for a portion of their investment while retaining a meaningful shareholding to share in the future growth and success of DMQ; Damian will continue in his executive role to assist in driving this growth. Growth Capital Partners has committed further capital to assist in driving these aspirations of DMQ, which include both organic and acquisitive strategies.

We were initially considering a 100% exit, but after various discussions and ongoing engagement with Growth Capital Partners we decided that we wanted to take the business to the next level by partnering with them. We are excited about the strategic insight, networks and financial acumen that our new partners bring to the table and the potential synergies which exist within their portfolio of companies. We are looking forward to the next growth phase of DMQ alongside our new partners.
